| One of the most frequently found monkeys are the Baboons. Baboons are
much disliked by Africans, due to their often rude behaviour. There are
few stronger insults to an African than to call him a Baboon.
Baboons live in large family units, in which almost all the older animals take care of the young. Like humans they know Uncles, Aunts, Grandpas and Grandmas, that all like to take care of their groups' offspring. The animals do not only feed on Bananas, like they are so often seen in movies, but mostly fresh leaves or when they find a dead animal, they are also fond of meat. |
